Is there an official Dragon Link online?
Not yet. Aristocrat sells its online games through Aristocrat Interactive, and the timeline is clear from its own announcements:
| 23 July 2026 | Lightning Link's online premiere: Aristocrat Interactive brings the franchise "to players in all regulated iGaming U.S. states and Canadian provinces for the first time", starting with Lightning Link High Stakes. |
|---|---|
| 17 September 2026 | "Aristocrat Interactive will show the iconic Dragon Link game to iGaming ahead of the full launch." |
So on 29 September 2026 Dragon Link hasn't launched online for real money anywhere. When it does, Aristocrat hasn't said where; Lightning Link went to regulated North American markets, and Australia isn't one, because online casino games can't be offered here.
What the "Dragon Link" games at online casinos are
Search for Dragon Link online and you'll find casino sites and affiliate pages promising the game for real money. By Aristocrat's own dates, those aren't Aristocrat's Dragon Link: its online division hadn't released it by 17 September 2026. What you get is usually another studio's Hold & Spin game with a dragon theme, or a game presented under a borrowed name.
That matters for more than authenticity. A copy has its own maths, and no one can tell you how it compares with the machine at your club.
What Australian law says
The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 makes it illegal to offer online casino games and online pokies to people in Australia. No online casino holds an Australian licence, because there's no such licence to hold. The Australian Communications and Media Authority enforces the Act and keeps a public list of the gambling sites it has had blocked — well over a thousand since 2019.
If an offshore casino refuses to pay, there's no Australian regulator that can step in. That's the practical risk behind the legal one.
The ways to play Dragon Link today
- In a venue, for money. Twelve venues confirm Dragon Link on their own websites — The Star Sydney, seven clubs and hotels in Queensland and four venues in the NT. Club Burleigh's Grand starts at $10,000. The list, state by state, is on Dragon Link in Australia.
- Free, in Aristocrat's apps. Lightning Link Casino lists "Golden Century & Panda Magic – Classic Dragon Link fun"; Mighty Fu Casino names Golden Century, Happy & Prosperous, Autumn Moon, Panda Magic and Golden Gong. They use virtual coins and pay nothing out. Details on free Dragon Link pokies.
- Free, here. Our Hold & Spin demo shows how the orbs lock and reset, in credits. It's our own model, not Aristocrat's game.
About online casino lists
People searching this topic also ask for "the top online casinos in Australia". We don't publish a list today: before any casino appears here, its affiliate program has to pass our checks, and we'd name it as an offshore casino that isn't licensed in Australia. How that works is on how this site is funded.
My verdict
If you want Dragon Link, the real one is on a gaming floor or in Aristocrat's free apps. An online casino that says otherwise is using the name. We'll update this page when Aristocrat Interactive announces the launch — and whether Australians can play it.
